Ludzhene 4th of April 1921/7 (?) year

[first column] Dear Rajna, I haven't written to you since long ago. I have become lazy although I am very happy when a letter arrives from somewhere, and especially from you (plural "you"). I accepted the letter and the dollar (one dollar?) I am very thankful, really very much. Let me say I am.
[second column] OK and everybody is OK. And in Banja everybody is OK. And Riste and the bride is OK, and the Goshe (=Georgi) OK He is a very agile/energetic small child but but as you have said (?) but and the young child studied faith. To him it is not erlorene (?, unclear word) to write. Rajna (=Listen, Rajna), Lena of your uncle was here, her husband Sharenaov (?) died instantly. He was a lawyer in Pazardzhik. . . Rajna, here in Bulgaria is a crisis. Many bankruptcies among big merchants. With love your mother.

Stanimaka  [today it is called "Assenovgrad"]
23 December 1926
Dear Peter,
Just arrived, I sit in order to write to you. It is nine months since you wrote to me. After 9 months a reply! I wanted to write to you but every time I postponed it. I didn't want to give you trouble to respond to me, because I knew from your mother that you are overwhelmed with work.
I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! I send you [a card] in order to see the shadravan [fountain] in our town.
Heartedly greet you, Cvetan.
