Dear Evanka and Mitco,
This is the church in which our great grandfather had been a priest. I went in it and it is too bad that it was ruined by a fire. Such a treasure now gone. Some icons were more than 1200 years old. Today we are going to celebrate [my] mothers 90th birthday. Hristo and Ancheti are fine, and so is the rest of the family.

Love, Elizabeth [Daskaloff]

For Miss Florence Boycheff

My dear niece,
You may have large cities, magnificent buildings, but [we have] such pretty, majestic woods and plateaus. I am sure you have not come to Bulgaria. It is so beautiful here! We wish to hear how you are singing Bulgarian songs.

Great salutations, Your uncle Christo
